A new position has arisen within this well-established Oxford Accountancy firm for a Senior Account Manager with a minimum of 6 years' experience and a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification people management experience.The successful candidate will be very good at accounts and people management with the potential to become a partner of the future. They will have good commercial understanding and be good with clients. They will have excellent financial reporting skills and proven people management skills/experience. They should have good academics and be technically able to resolve issues and to think around solutions. Responsible for the management of the department, management duties will include reviewing the work produced by members of staff, assisting with the recruitment and development of the staff and monitoring the performance level of the team, identifying areas of improvement and addressing as required. Managing the activities of the team and resources to meet the budget requirements as required and setting team and individual objectives and evaluating progress as required.Accounting duties will include preparing statutory accounts, including consolidated accounts, from both computer and manual records, producing tax computations for limited companies and reporting into the partners directly. Other duties will include attending marketing events, engaging in business development activity, ensuring good housekeeping is maintained at all times.
