This global bluechip reinsurance client requires an Internal Auditor with insurance audit knowledge to join their team. Candidates are likely to have big4 to top10 experience. The main duties will be to audit the functions of the business and thereby add value by identifying and providing for current and future risks. In doing this there will be a significant amount of travel to various European locations, and the position can actually be based in London or Zurich.
Key responsibilities will include performing in-depth risk analyses, leading parts of the audit programme, interviewing management and staff, documenting workflows and identifying key risks, controls and procedures. You will also be documenting all testing and finding in accordance with GIA methodology and professional standards. You will have the opportunity to see your work through by escalating recommendations and drafting audit reports.
As your seniority progresses you may be requested to act as an in Charge for any particular audit, although in this current position there is on the whole no supervisorial responsibility.
Candidates should be graduates and either professionally qualified accountants or well on the way to becoming so. 3 years' work in Audit or other relevant experience is essential. Big 4 and Financial services experience is preferred, with a well developed ability to communicate and to present. Candidates must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
